North Vancouver, B.C. – The Liberal Party of Canada has announced that Braeden Caley, an experienced public policy leader who has worked with Mark Carney to protect our economy and our workers, will be the Liberal candidate for North Vancouver—Capilano in the upcoming federal by-election.
“Braeden Caley has spent his career turning ambitious ideas into real results for Canadians and he has the experience needed to deliver the serious solutions this crucial moment demands,” said Sachit Mehra, President of the Liberal Party of Canada. “Braeden will work tirelessly with Mark Carney and our new Liberal team in Parliament to build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous future for the hardworking people of North Vancouver—Capilano.”
Braeden Caley has devoted more than twenty years to getting big things done for British Columbians and all Canadians, in government and public policy. Born and raised in B.C., his career began in the constituency offices of two B.C. Members of Parliament, helping people find housing, secure the benefits they had earned, and make their voices heard in Ottawa. Since then, he has advised leaders from Vancouver City Hall to the Prime Minister’s Office, and headed Canada’s leading independent progressive think tank.
Most recently, Braeden served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Prime Minister Mark Carney, working to protect Canadian workers and businesses from unjust tariffs and to build a stronger, more affordable, and more independent economy.
