Muslims Are Being Attacked Every Single Day۔NCCM Team

Asalamu alaikum / Peace be upon you,

You may have already noticed.

For the past few weeks, we have been getting reports of violent Islamophobic or anti-Palestinian attacks every day.

Every. Single. Day.
A Palestinian father beaten on the streets in Thunder Bay while trying to protect his family.
A campaign in Southern Ontario trying to intimidate Muslim farmers, including flying drones over their properties, and threats of mob violence.
A marketed event built as a “Pork Only” BBQ in Regina right outside of a local mosque to intimidate and mock Muslims in the area.
A man following Muslims around inside a store in Halifax, screaming for them to “Get the f*** out of our country.”
A young hijabi high schooler walking across her graduation ceremony, only to have a principal rip off her alestinia keffiyeh scarf.
These are just a few examples of what has been happening.

There is no easy way to say this: we are nearing a breaking point.

 

Our team is overloaded time and time again.

Our Legal Team is working overtime to stand up to this moment.

We are callig on all leaders across Canada to take action amidst this wave of attacks and threats.

 

W are calling on them to work with our community to build a National Strategy that tackles any systemic factors fueling this growing emergency.

 

We need answers, we need change.

 

We need more resources and help to make sure that those affected get justice.

 

We can’t do that without you leading this way.
