Manitoba anti islamophobia
Asalamu alaikum / peace be upon you,

This week, something historic happened.

Manitoba became the first province in Canada to launch a comprehensive K–12 Anti-Islamophobia Action Plan. This has been a project NCCM has been working on for more than a year with other key stakeholders in Manitoba.

This groundbreaking plan, developed through Manitoba’s Anti-Islamophobia Working Group, brings together government education officials and Muslim community leaders to ensure that Islamophobia is addressed directly in classrooms, not ignored or minimized. It provides concrete guidance to educators on how to protect Muslim students, support families, and build understanding and respect among all students.

For years, NCCM has pushed for exactly this kind of systemic change. Too often, students are left to navigate discrimination alone. Manitoba’s leadership sends a powerful message: our children belong, and their dignity matters.

If you believe no child should face hate in their classroom, and that governments must be held accountable to protect minority communities, please consider making a donation today. We can’t do this kind of systemic work without your support.

👉 Donate now to help NCCM build long-term systemic solutions to fight all kinds of hate.

With gratitude and resolve,

The NCCM Team
