In an interview, she said, “I grew up in an underserved neighborhood on the south side of Chicago, but it made me more determined to want and do more. I had a significant loss at an early age; my mother passed away when I was 25 years old, and I had to take in my teenage brothers to raise despite my own young, growing family. I had my first child at 17, but against all odds, I decided to adopt an attitude that would enable me to overcome any obstacle or hardship that comes my way.”
Wade launched her first company in 2014 and completed her master’s degree in 2025. Continuing her education while working and running a business was really difficult, but she managed to do it. Her ability to successfully balance job, education, and business makes her an inspiration to aspiring female entrepreneurs.
Women entrepreneurs frequently require specific, relatable role models like Wade to navigate and thrive in the traditionally male-dominated world of entrepreneurship.
