New NCCM Commissioned Poll – Canada Must Ban Illegal Israeli Settlement Goods

Asalamu alaikum / Peace be upon you,

The number don’t lie.

This week, NCCM commissioned a major poll on how Canadians really feel about illegal Israeli settlements on Palestinian land—plus the fact that we still do business with them.

The numbers are not surprising. Canadians want justice.

About 80% of Canadians do not support illegal settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, with 28% “strongly opposed.”

Around 75% also don’t oppose a ban on imports from these settlements, with close to 30% “strongly in support” of such a ban.

This makes sense. Canadians don’t like hypocrisy. They don’t want to see Canada doing business with the very illegal entities it’s constantly condemning.

The solution is simply: it’s time to ban imported goods from illegal Israeli settlements.

–Making the Call–

That’s the point we made with our community partners on Parliament Hill yesterday.

This call reflects the message sent by hundreds of community organizations across the country in the form of an open letter recently sent to Canadian leadership.

19 new settlements were just approved late last year, adding to a total of almost 70 of these illegal structures in recent years.

Canada should not be helping sustain these illegal settlements.

That action starts with banning goods imported from them.

The time to act is now.

You must lead the way.

Urge your MPs to act on this issue. Tell them that words are not enough.

Now is the time to push for real results.

That starts with you.

Donate today to make sure that Canada doesn’t stand in the way of justice in Palestine.

Wassalam
